About Us
We are a non-profit, all-breed dog rescue that operates in the Durham and Northumberland Regions of Ontario. As animal advocates, we work with many dogs from shelters, native reserves, and owner surrenders. Our sole purpose is to save lives, and help a good dog find the perfect FurEver home! We run a foster based rescue program, and also have a boarding facility (4 kennels) to house dogs in an emergency/crisis situation.
Our Adoptable Dogs
ALL Ruff Start dogs are fully vetted including spay/neuter, all shots (brevacto) preventative and microchipped for safety too.
Adopt fee applies.
Benny
A German Shepherd cross. He is approximately 3 years old.
He is good with other dogs with energy. Loves to be active and very playful.
Everett
He is approximately 2 years old. He requires a hike with a fenced yard. Would do best in a country setting with his sister Elderberry or as the only dog.
Tupper
Tupper is a husky. She is about 1 1/2 year old.
She is house trained and good with other dogs who match her energy. Not good with cats or other smaller animals. Like all our pups, fully vetted.
Loves the outdoors and is currently looking for an active family.
